At The Book Nook this Friday, September 30th, at 7pm, come welcome back Wendy Corsi Staub at a book signing kicking off her newest release: Hell to Pay. The third installment in Staub’s latest trilogy, Hell to Pay finishes the trilogy which began with Live to Tell and Scared to Death. Also at The Book Nook will be up-and-coming mystery writer Jamie Freveletti, signing her latest book, The Ninth Day. The third book featuring Temperance Brennen-like heroine Emma Caldridge, The Ninth Day follows Running from the Devil and Running Dark.
Wendy Corsi Staub never forgets her roots. As a student at SUNY Fredonia, Staub worked at The Book Nook. She is a Dunkirk native and is a graduate of both the Dunkirk City Schools and SUNY Fredonia.
Wendy Corsi Staub’s books continue to receive rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Lee Child says “Solid gold suspense … this one is a wild ride.” Publishers Weekly agrees: “Staub explores the conflict every parent feels between reasonable care for the safety of their children and paranoia in this compelling, well-crafted suspense novel.” Hell to Pay takes place years after the first two in the trilogy: “Survivors of a serial killer who invaded their childhood, Lucy Walsh and Jeremy Cavalon are married now, replacing nightmares of their terrifying past with joyful dreams of the upcoming birth of their first child. Fiercely determined to protect the fragile balance of their lives, Lucy doesn’t know that her new husband guards a deadly secret . . .or that an Act of God is about to unleash a vengeful fury. For shell-shocked Lucy and Jeremy, the horrible death of a loved one is a tragic accident. But for a shadowy predator, it’s the first step toward completing a deadly mission that was interrupted so long ago. Now, at last, the members of the Walsh and Cavalon families will pay for their sins, one by one.”
Jamie Freveletti’s best-selling series has also received national acclaim. New York Times best-selling author Steve Berry says, “Jamie Freveletti shows once again why she is one of the top thriller writers working today. With crisp writing, clever plotting, and memorable characters, this one will satisfy even the most finicky of readers.” Earlier this year, she was chosen by the Estate of Robert Ludlum to write the next in the Covert One series, scheduled to come out next fall. A lawyer by trade, Freveletti recently switched her license to “inactive” to focus full time on her writing.
Come meet both of these amazing, best-selling authors at 7pm at The Book Nook this Friday, September 30th and pick up signed copies of their latest books, as well as their earlier published works.
